HAPPY NEW YEAR
Can we really say that, with all that lies ahead this year. There are two verses from the bible that standout and put in perspective what has happened and is to come.
The first is Matt 7:15-20
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit
wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
No matter how much PR spin Labour and the Greens put on it, our country is in a terrible state. I don’t have to write about all the things that have happened the last couple of years. There are not many who have not been affected. I see it every day in the faces of the people I meet and see. Sure, we have had Covid, and other bad things happen but the most unsettling thing has been the unraveling of our foundations as a country and the attempted destruction of our democracy and way of life. Everything that we hold dear is under threat. Three waters has shown Labour and the greens true fruit. when nearly the whole country has said no, they still passed this bill. Even worse they hid entrenchment, and within hours of passing, have added pages of amendments. It’s hard to have hope when you see all this happening. Psalm37: vs 1 and 2 maybe will encourage you .
Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity .
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb
So, we can have hope for a HAPPY NEW YEAR and a blessed future.
